Establishment Benefit
The Establishment Benefit is available to all full-time Missionaries and allows the missionary to request an additional salary to “establish” themselves in their country of service. The missionary will need to be mindful of their budgeted salary in addition to this benefit to make sure the total salary for the year does not exceed the Board approved maximum of $85,000. In the event this benefit plus the budgeted salary of the missionary exceeds the Board approved $85,000 maximum, additional information will be required
to gain Board approval. These establishment expenses are not reimbursable as ministry expenses through Concur but will be issued as an additional salary to the missionary by request only.
Re-Establishment Benefit
The Re-Establishment Benefit is available to all full-time Missionaries with at least two full years of on-field service. This benefit applies to missionaries who are ending their time on the field and allows the missionary to request up to three months of the maximum Board approved salary of $21,250 (85,000/12 months * 3 months =$21,250) to use towards “re-establishing” themselves back to their home country. The missionary will need to be mindful of their budgeted salary in addition to this benefit to make sure the total salary for the year does not exceed the Board approved maximum of $85,000. In the event this
benefit plus the budgeted salary of the missionary exceeds the Board approved $85,000 maximum, additional information will be required to gain Board approval.
